| From: Dear Reader, Is this uneasy feeling a good thing? Well if we just ignore it, it could rip our hearts and houses apart. If we listen to it, we could use it as a positive thing. To create new ways of adaptable living that align with these changes. If we seek to understand the hidden patterns and forces underpinning these changes. WHY YOU SHOULD STOP AND LISTEN
Hi, my name is Hirini Reedy. A Maori from the Eastern Coast of New Zealand. Growing up as a child at the foot of the sacred mountain Hikurangi, I was shaped by the natural wisdom that is found in the nature spaces. Yet when I moved from here, I spent much of my life seeking to balance this natural wisdom with modern world realities. I served as a military officer. I qualified as an engineer. I searched for answers. I studied many strange modalities such as Reikii Healing, Neuro Linguistics, Hypnotherapy, Martial arts, and much more. I have been a soldier, a businessmen, a company director and other roles. Yet a seed thought from my childhood stayed with me... Nature is my teacher, my school, my home.
This led to the creation of AioKoa -
Sleeping Seed, Wild Flower. The name AioKoa is not important.
It is just a signpost pointing towards home. A way of seeking
our own truths. Finding your own answers that have meaning for
you. Not for me. Or anyone else. Your very own nature will tell
you what will work for you. So what? Sometimes we need to go back into Nature to remember. Leave our homes, our families, our nice ordered lives so that we can return back much stronger and aware. Look at your hands and fingers right now. Look into the core of your eyes? These biological blueprints are unique to you. No one else has them exactly. Deep inside you is a sleeping seed. An infant star. You have your own unique solar system inside you. Your own inner sun. It is waiting to shine and radiate its light once again. But it has been covered in shit and crap. Limiting beliefs. Fears. Adult ways of living. Concrete over the heart. Blocking the natural flow. Change is going to happen. A big shake up. The vibrations are growing stronger. It is time to get rid of the crap, the shit and other stuff. From both the inside and outside. Yet the old fears will cling, claw and try to hold on. Just bless these old fears for they simply forgot the natural way. Everything has its season. Both the good and bad, nothing is wasted. Only you will know what this means for you. Your life is your own. SO WHAT IS THIS AIO KOA ALL ABOUT? Aio Koa is simply a nature-inspired way of thinking.
It is about finding your own truths. Observing Nature within ouselves
and outside ourselves. It is about understanding the vibrations
of energy dancing between physical form and metaphysical field.
Maintaining inner balance within the complexities of life. You
must test this in your own life. Find what works for you, recycle
what does not. The Four Living Petals of Aio KoaIn the centre of your flower is your core essence. Your Aio Koa . You must grow out from this core into the petals of your life. Imagine a flower with petals in bloom The petals are the parts of the flower which give it form and contrast. Not all petals are exactly symmetrical yet they are functional. Here is a sketch from my handydandy notebook.
Together these petals give shape and colour to your life. How you perceive life is unique to you. So is how you protect life, provide life and preserve life? I will explain the four living petals of the Aio Koa Flower. The Petal of Perception You must become your own mystic. Your own scientist. Your own tracker. Your own seeker of truth. Finding your own proof. Discerning your own truth. The Petal of Protection. Yes, you must learn the arts of war but only for the art of self protection. As a way to self perfection. The inner victory. Using the heat of your struggles and the shivering grip of your fears as internal adversaries to fight and overcome. Transforming your own fears, doubts and limitations. Use pain as needed yet do not cause uneccessary suffering. To yourself or another. Remember there is the pain of a wounded soul. A wounded heart. The scars of the body may heal but the scars of the heart and soul will remain embedded as a reminder of your regretful actions. Do not be deluded that peace is all bliss and joy. There will still be the ugly and the terrifying. A warrior of the earth must be a master at balancing opposite forces. Pain and pleasure will still co-exist. Hence you must strive to know your shadow. Your own devil. As well as your own light. Your own deity. You must know how to balance and cycle the two. Death is a form of rebirth. We must kill ourselves metaphorically so that we can relearn and start a new stage of our lives. The greatest warrior is the one who ushers in life. Such is the midwife who helps the mother give birth. Like a midwife helps a mother go through the trimesters and labour of birth so must you use the seasons to give you strategies and guidance. When you get old and your muscles grow weak or your beauty fades, you must resow and regrow yourself to align with the seasons of your life. Do not cling to the smooth surface of youth. Keep a grip of who you really are. Let your wrinkles be like the hills and valleys carved by the hand of life across the contours of your face. Be proud of them for they show the passing of time. The trails of tears and laughter in your life. The Aio Koa warrior must use the seasons of spring, summer, fall and winter as ways of balancing the energy of a situation. A tense confrontation or a stagnant condition. It is about moving the energy from one form or one perception into another. Each problem has the embryo of its solution hidden within its core. You must dissolve the problem into its corresponding solution elegantly and organically. The seasons provide a way to fold and unfold. Just like a flower opening at day and closing at night. Look at your biggest problems? You are looking at it through seasoned thought. Conditioned thought. Now, rotate and circle your thoughts through the seasons such that your problem is becoming lighter. Explore it. Turn it upside down. Change your words. Forget it. Hmmm the energy of the problem is still in the fields of your body. Find the opposite of your problem. Make it a blessing. Or turn it into a deeper curse. You will feel a difference. Look outside at the trees. They align with the season of now. The circling moment that never ends. Life is what it is. But we try to make it fit what we are. You must become your own warrior. Your own midwife.
Your own guardian. A protector of the life force. However you
define it. Not me or anyone else. The Petal of Provision Show me the money? This is what many people think. Stuff all this flower rubbish. Well, I did mentor a man who used these same seed-flower principles to raise $1.25 million Australian in 6 weeks. His seed intention was to raise $5million and go public on the Australian stock exchange within 6 weeks. However it took him an extra 4 weeks to do this. 10 weeks to raise $5million and go public. My aim with this petal of mastery is to create organic wealth that comprises liquid cash fund, soil, water, animal nurseries, seed banks and other life essentials that can help a community to survive and thrive. To create local micro economies that can use alternate currencies yet still be able to trade globally. I have called this fund Mana Tree which is a play on money and mana within the tree of life. However the best currency system and economic system will falter if people lack the character and discipline to live and trade cooperatively without exploiting the weak, the helpless and the environment. This is why the inner martial arts aspect is essential to building good character and self control. It is about ethics based on the principles of nature. Big business and corporates need to practice sustainable ethics. Honorable service. Forget customer service. Honorable service. This is the time of sustainable honour for businesses, merchant banks and corporates. Villagers must be shown economic alternatives to poaching, slavery and deforestation that produce meagre returns. For example in Burundi, killing a silverback gorilla for $10 return down in the local market. We must teach the poacher to become the gamekeeper. The slave owner becomes the freedom fighter. The deforester becomes the tree planter. The profiteer becomes the benefactor. At the end of the day though, Aio Koa has to feed a hunger. Grow food. Feed children. Provide seed. Make people content. Otherwise this is all just fancy thinking on a webpage. You must become your own gardener. Your own hunter. Your own
cook. Your own banker. The provider of your own dream. Petal of Preservation Every person has an energy body as well as a physical body. It is when the energy body gets blocked, smokey and covered with crappy thoughts, then this polluted energy turns into a physical thing called sickness, cancer or whatever the sticky energy appears as. You know when a negative thought form enters your energy field. You feel it in your body somewhere. It might be a little tense or could escalate into a full-out panic attack where you cannot squeam. Your limbs flop and you faint. This is why it is essential to maintain the even flow of energy through your energy body. Just like fresh streams cascading from your mountain head down the valleys and tributaries of body into the oceans of your cells. Your cell water holds your energy vibrations and thoughts so you have to keep the energy circulating and refreshing itself. Laughter is one way of energising and shaking stagnant energy. A real good laugh that makes your eyes tear, your belly explode and your internal organs shake. You release tension while sucking in huge gulps of oxygen as you recover. There are lots of energy modalities around the world. Many native cultures understood the effect of the energy body and how beliefs affected it. I believe no one way works all the time. You have to find what works for you. Again it comes back to results. This is why it is so important to preserve your energy pools and keep the life force flowing. Move your energy body as well as your physical body. When you can move your body in harmony with your feelings then you can can really amplify your energy aura. You become both trance and dance in one. Thats why you become your own dancer. Whatever dance suits you. You need to be your own poet. Your own healer. Your own romantic. Your own clown. Your own storyteller. Your own minstrel. Your own whatever. The Aio Koa Familia All four petals form the flower of life called family. The familia surrounds the core, the foetus, the baby of life. There are radiating circles of family. The extended family is so important. The tribe or village becomes a garden in which we learn how to live with each other. Many flowers within the garden. Hence the saying we need a whole village to raise a child. Unfortunately in this modern world we do not have the extended family connections so we need to resow and regrow the sense of family and connection. We need the whole world to be the village that sustains the child of life.
